Councillor Vacancies

Are you passionate about your community? Do you want to help make a long-lasting change? Do you have innovative ideas for the council? Do you have concerns about a specific issue and want to do something about it? If this is you, then we need you – we currently have vacancies for two councillors.

Applications are invited from people from all backgrounds and experiences who reflect their community. If you are interested in serving as a Parish Councillor, please write to the Parish Clerk confirming that you are qualified to be a Councillor (please see our Co-option Procedure), include your CV and a brief explanation of why you are interested in joining the Parish Council. The Council meets once a month (except in August and December), usually on the third Thursday in the month. If you would like to know more about the role, please contact the Clerk.

The closing date for written submissions of interest is 1st June 2023. Candidates’ applications will be considered in a closed meeting of the parish council, during which a vote by Councillors will take place. Full details of the process can be found in the attached Co-option procedure.
